We want to make LaLaLand Festival accessible to everyone. With our TRASH4CASH program you can go to LaLaLand for free in exchange for 500 used cigarette filters. We encourage people to pick up cigarette filters in their own area. In doing so, they not only contribute to a cleaner living environment and the environment, but also to the creation of Angelina Kumar's artwork and they give themselves the gift of a free festival ticket.
We want to be circular and sustainable as much as possible and have looked at our waste, food and CO2 emissions. Our partner Ruigoord works with a recycling system. Food is served on biodegradable plates. We serve pure vegetarian food made from as many local products as possible. We plant trees in South Gujarat in India to compensate for the air travel that our Indian artists make. Noreen has been involved in this fantastic project herself, and has witnessed its positive impact first-hand.
This year we are making it possible (again) for 50 families from the Neighborhood Families Foundation to come to LaLaLand. And there is a collaboration with Stadspas Amsterdam.
